The new update is the worst. The themes constantly uninstall and I have to uninstall-reinstall the extension to reapply them.
So pretty and helps make canvas less overwhelming for students and easier to understand and navigate. Also free! So great
Sucks so bad :( What did yall do revert it back to before the update. Themes don't apply, my themes keep not applying or they will apply for maybe a day then disappear. Then I have to delete the extension and redownload it just to get the theme back on my Canvas.
the set up is so easy, there are some really cool themes and i can also have a todo list and flashcards for each class. That is kinda crazy, I already love it.
the task bar on the right side is extemely helpful

I really like better campus it makes me motivated to do my school work with how esthetically pleasing it looks. And i really like how customizable it is and there are so many themes to choose from.

I downloaded it because it makes my canvas feel less like im going to do homework and more... homey i guess. Feels nice to open and see colors and GIF's instead of just an all white or black screen!
The new gpa system is a lot more complicated but other than that its good

Amazing! Idk why people are hating on it so much after the new update, it's fine and it added some of my favorite features, like the better todo list and the clean sidebar, and of corse I have to mention the immense library of themes, (some of them better then others.) Overall, nothing broke with the new update.
Honestly, such a bad update. I have been using for quite some time and this is the first time that each theme I select keeps reverting to the original canvas look or even when I add a new image for my cards the image suddenly disappears. Everytime I refresh my page my themes revert back to original Canvas view or even with a weird mix of regular canvas and my themes. Every time I select dark mode, nothing happens. I'm severely disappointed especially since it is usually such a good extension
Old version was much better and easier to use. GPA option will not let me change it to calculate graded assignments only. It is also pulling grades from classes I am no longer a part of where the professor did not set an end date for the course. There is no way to remove them. Navigation is fine after spending about 30 minutes trying to figure it out. I did not mind setting up an account, but forcing a free trial where most of the features do not work is pretty low. I hope these things get fixed, but until then I think I will stick with normal Canvas.
i had used bettercanvas for years and this update is literally horrific. im glad i only updated on one of my devices and the others can remain with the previous version. its also ridiculous how everything thats good and free eventually gets a paywall. why do we need to pay for features that were previously free? what changed? id rather have a plain and ugly canvas lol
Not sure why everyone is saying a subscription is required... I was able to customize my entire dashboard and cards just fine. The only problem is that posting custom themes and saving custom themes is currently bugged for me, which is pretty sad as I will lose all my current progress when I want to change my theme again. Hope a bug fix comes out soon.
This update is absolutely horrible and riddled with bugs. My cards are constantly glitching into each other, making them practically unusable. To make matters worse, it keeps telling me to switch to card view even though I’m already in it. Now I’m being asked to pay for a subscription to access features that were previously available for free, which feels unfair. The new UI is an eyesore and downright frustrating to use, it’s just not functional. Despite my school’s restrictions on Canvas, which I understand, I can not change the color of my cards. On top of that, the system falsely tells me that I’m not in card view when I clearly am. This update is a major step backwards, and it's affecting my ability to use the platform efficiently.
Dislike the new update. Doesn't let me turn of the new left sidebar and overall glitchy when customizing the theme. I do not like the account creation feature and subscription stuff. I wish I could go back to the old version.

Good UI, customized canvas nice, HOWEVER WARNING: SOME OF THE THEMES CONTAIN LINKS OF MALWARE let me explain further: Some of the themes (example: Greyscale by Lekonic) contain image links containing Trojan Viruses, thankfully my antivirus (malwarebytes) blocked this before it could affect anything. Please keep an eye out and be careful using themes. I will be contacting the developer of this plugin to try getting it removed.

I love this extension so much!! For years I've been wishing I could see my grades more easily and change the card photos and whatnot, and this is exactly what I wanted!
Seeing the completion wheel full for each week is almost like an incentive to complete all my work and Dark Theme is perfect. But the best part is putting gifs on my class cards.
